About PR Pace Setter

The evolution of PR Pace Setter is being brought to you, in part, out of a course requirement (Public Relations Online Tactics) and my passion for two important areas of my life: writing and triathlon. In many aspects, PR and triathlon run parallel to one another.Through PR Pace Setter, I will discuss the various steps PR professionals use to help clients achieve their goals, while relating it to the steps triathletes use to be tri-umphant.

One of the first parallels between PR and triathlon is building a solid base to operate on.

Base building in PR equates to understanding the roles, responsibilities and processes (steps) used to build a successful campaign.

Base building in triathlon equates to building an aerobic base (endurance) in three different disciplines: swimming, biking, running to compete in a sprint, Olympic, half ironman or full ironman triathlon.

Without a base to stand on, the PR professional and triathlete will struggle to compete against those who have implemented the base and other elements, such as discipline, focus, and strategy.

Each area requires not only these elements, but also others, I will discuss in my posts each week.

  • S- I love this site. I look forward to seeing how it evolves. At first glance, I smile as I recognize your ability to bring it all together, come full circle, to achieve balance in your life. Each and every step we take, decision we make, and avenue we pursue should with no doubt have a piece of our heart and soul. Now, by nature of the beast, we are not single minded people with all like-interests. Therefore, the challenge lies within the balance act of varying pursuits. You are on your way to exemplifying all that we athletes desire … focus and organization in a way that incorporates our passion for fitness with a separate, more “professional” interest, since our Olympic talent got lost in our previous lives. Good luck to you. I will be stopping back.
    In Health,
    Jules
